Join us for the launch of our Directory Members Event series: Art in Words, a collection of events that will give Axis Directory Members an opportunity to connect, explore, watch and get feedback on their work.

These free events take place between 15-22 September and include the following:

  • Workshop: Writing an Artist Statement with Kelly Culver
  • Film ScreeningKaranjit Panesar: Actor, Container (2021)
  • Workshop: Creativity & Language with Lisa-Marie Dickinson
  • Artist Talk: Blurring boundaries between moving image and text with David Steans
  • 1-2-1 Artist Feedback Session: Critical guidance and support with David Steans (for attendees of David's talk above)

This Axis members-only event follows the premiere of the second issue of Social Works? Open, the world’s first artist-led journal for social practice art, printed in collaboration with Social Art Publications, the newest artists' book publisher. This free online event takes place on 15 September, 7- 8pm.


For Five2Watch this week we've selected five artists who work with live art: Elly Clarke, Sue Law, Robert Luzar, Julian Claxton and Jim Lockey.


New Art Highlights of the week includes: Anne Guest, melissandre varin, Lucy Crouch and Peter Walker.
