New Art Highlights

15 - 21 August

New Art Highlights of the week includes: nikkita morgan, Bernard Charnley, Harriet Hill and Melanie Berman

What Lies Beneath, 2022 by nikkita morgan

nikkita morgan

This piece is part of a triptych of embroidered artworks exploring symbolisms relating to political, economic, and human rights concerns. What Lies Beneath portrays the hierarchy and corruption. It also symbolises our crumbling society and how we are controlled and deceived by powerful elites. This piece also implies how the roots of humanity are endangered due to the destruction caused by the World’s leaders and how society is spiralling out of control.
